Development: On 26 January Senator Jorge Robledo of Colombia’s left-wing opposition Polo Democrático Alternativo (PDA) party asked the comptroller general’s office (CGR) to open an investigation into whether Finance Minister Mauricio Cárdenas and Agriculture Minister Aurelio Iragorri may have been involved in the corruption ring linked to Brazilian engineering firm Odebrecht.
