In brief: Mexico’s lower chamber approves revenue budget proposal
*Mexico’s lower chamber of congress has approved the draft revenue budget (Ley de Ingresos), the income side of the 2026 budget proposal, which projects revenue of M$10.19tn (US$553.89bn). The revenue projected for 2026 is MS$891.67bn more than that expected for 2025. The proposal was approved by 352 votes in favour to 128 against with zero abstentions. It now goes to the senate for a vote.
