In brief: Chile’s quarterly growth slows in Q2

*Chile’s central bank (BCCh) has released its latest figures on GDP growth, showing that economic activity grew by 0.4% in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter. This follows quarterly growth of 0.7% in Q1 2025 and of 0.5% in Q4 2024. On a year-on-year basis, GDP expanded by 3.1%, driven by personal services (+5.0%) trade (+3.9%), mining (+4.0%), and manufacturing (+3.7%). Financial services (-1.1%) and public administration (-0.6%) were among categories to register declines in annual terms.
