In brief: International tourism in Mexico up in May

*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has announced that the country received 3.75m international tourists in May, marking a 10.0% annual increase. Tourist numbers were also very slightly up from April 2025, by some 0.13%. Overall visitor numbers, comprising international tourists and day-trippers, were up 18.0% year-on-year at 7.94m. Visitor numbers were also up 3.52% from 7.67m in April. Revenue from international tourism rose by 5.0% year-on-year to US$2.35bn, but was down from US$2.79bn in April.
