*Peru’s association of exporters (Adex) has announced that exports totalled US$33.4bn in the first five months of 2025, up 22.3% compared with the same period of 2024. Traditional exports totalled US$24.7bn over this period and were up 21.9% year-on-year, led by mining exports (US$21.7bn, +23.0%), with China the main destination for traditional exports. Non-traditional exports totalled US$8.7bn over the same period, up 23.5%. In May, total exports were up by 12.8% year-on-year, signifying lower growth than that recorded in April (22.2%), March (26.9%), February (16.8%), and January (34.1%).
