*Peru’s investment promotion agency (Proinversión) has announced that in July it will award a contract for a 965km roadbuilding and maintenance project as part of a public-private partnership totalling an estimated US$1.58bn. Proinversión said that the road, Carretera Longitudinal de la Sierra Tramo 4, would directly benefit 1.6m people in the central and southern regions of Junín, Huancavelica, Ica, Ayacucho, and Apurímac.
