PERU: AG claims coup underway by controversial predecessor
On 16 June Peru’s Attorney General Delia Espinoza claimed to be the victim of a coup attempt after the judicial oversight body (JNJ) ruled on 13 June that her controversial predecessor Patricia Benavides (2022-2023), who was suspended for alleged corruption, should be reinstated.
