*Brazil’s central bank (BCB) has released the latest edition of its Focus bulletin, a weekly survey containing the economic projections of private sector economists and analysts, which showed an annual GDP growth forecast of 2.18% for 2025. This marks an increase from the 2.13% forecast in the previous week’s bulletin and from the 2.00% forecast one month earlier. Last week the International Monetary Fund (IMF) released a more optimistic growth forecast for Brazil, projecting annual growth to reach 2.30% this year. In the latest Focus bulletin, the market experts also lowered their annual inflation forecast, projecting inflation to close this year at 5.44%, down from 5.46% the previous week and from 5.51% one month earlier.
