*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released its latest monthly estimate of economic activity (Emae) for March, showing a 1.8% decrease compared to the previous month - the first monthly decline in 11 months. In annual terms however the Emae was up 5.6%, the fifth consecutive month of annual growth. This follows growth of 6.0% in February, 6.7% in January, 6.0% in December, and 0.6% in November. Ten economic sectors expanded in March compared to the same month in 2024, including financial services (+29.3%) and construction (+9.9%). Five sectors registered yearly declines, with the largest in electricity, gas, and water (-4.3) and hotels & restaurants (-3.6%).
