In brief: Manufacturing and construction up in Argentina
*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has announced that industrial manufacturing increased by 5.6% year-on-year in February, and by 0.5% compared with January. The steepest monthly increases in manufacturing production were in the categories of wood, paper, editing & printing (+3.5%), metal products, machinery & equipment (+1.5%), and furniture & other manufacturing industries (+1.3%). Construction activity also increased in February, rising by 3.7% year-on-year and by 2.0% compared with January.
