In brief: Chile reports rise in exports

*Chile’s subsecretariat for international relations has announced that goods exports increased by 5.8% year-on-year in the first two months of 2025, totalling US$18.39bn. Services exports were up 25.0% over the same period to total US$587m. Both export values were the highest figures for the first two months of the year since current records began in 2003. Goods exports were driven by the mining sector (US$9.15bn, +8.2%), particularly copper (US$7.97bn, +11.2%). Service exports were led by website hosting (US$74.5m, +93.0%) and business administration management (US$62m, +266.0%).
