*Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) has released new figures which show that Mexico received US$4.66bn in remittances in January 2025, up 1.9% year-on-year. This compares with US$5.23bn in December 2024, which marked a 4.9% annual contraction. Total remittances to Mexico in 2024 amounted to US$64.75bn, up 2.3% on 2023.
