Javier Milei to speed up the process of awarding the contract for the dredging and buoyage of the Paraguay-Paraná waterway, a major route for transporting exports. The statement issued by the four lobbies follows the 12 February decision by the Milei government to cancel the concession awarded to Belgium-based firm Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering (Deme) due to a lack of competition (Deme was the only bidder) and allegations of sabotage which the Argentine authorities are investigating.
