In brief: Honduras’ inflation rate up in January

*Honduras’ central bank (BCH) has announced that monthly inflation in January was 0.61%, up from 0.45% in December 2024. This brought the annual inflation rate in January to 4.27%, up from 3.88% the previous month. Monthly inflation was driven by price rises for food and non-alcoholic drinks (+0.26%), personal care items (+0.09%), transport (+0.08%), and hotels, cafés, and restaurants (+0.08%).
