*Brazilian state-controlled oil company Petrobras has announced that its refineries produced 24.4bn litres of gasoline in 2024 and 26.3bn litres of low-sulphur S-10 diesel, the main type of diesel produced by Petrobras. The latest annual production figure for gasoline surpassed the previous record of 24.2bn litres in 2014, while S-10 diesel production broke the record set in 2023. The refinery that processed the most gasoline last year was the Refinaria Presidente Getúlio Vargas (Repar) in the southern state of Paraná, producing 3.5bn litres. The facility with the highest S-10 output was the Refinaria Presidente Bernardes (RPBC) in the south-eastern state of São Paulo, producing 3.8bn litres.
