This would bring annual inflation in December to 85%, up from 67% in November. According to the OVF, price rises in December were driven by a 14% increase in the price of the US dollar relative to the bolívar, with “significant” monthly price rises in all categories including food (+16.4%), clothing and shoes (+15.5%), household goods (+17.2%), communications (+20%), and restaurants and hotels (+26.5%).
