In brief: Honduras’ inflation down in annual terms

*Honduras’ central bank (BCH) has released new inflation figures showing the monthly consumer price index (CPI) was 0.45% in December, bringing the year-on-year rate to 3.88% which the BCH says is the lowest for the close of a year for the last eight years. The monthly rate is up from 0.11% in November when the annual rate was 3.94%. The BCH states that the increase was driven by price rises in categories such as food & non-alcoholic drinks (which was up 0.19% in monthly terms).
