Predictions that during municipal elections held on 26 and 27 October the far-right would inflict a crushing electoral punishment on President Gabriel Boric’s ruling left-of-centre coalition failed to materialise. In a mixed bag of results, it was the parties of the traditional right who ended up with the greatest reason to celebrate.
