There are signs that Bolivia’s right-of-centre opposition is uniting in an effort to exploit the turmoil that is rocking the ruling left-wing Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) ahead of next year’s general election. The opposition, divided between the centre-right Comunidad Ciudadana (CC) and the far-right Creemos, faces enormous obstacles if it is to end nearly 20 years in the political wilderness by recapturing the presidency.
