VENEZUELA: Colombia welcomes Maduro’s meeting with former foreign minister
On 29 August Colombia’s Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo said that he approved of a meeting the previous day between his predecessor Álvaro Leyva (2022-2024) and Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro, which Murillo said was aimed at ensuring “peace” following Venezuela’s disputed 28 July presidential election.
