*Peru’s ministry of foreign trade & tourism has announced that international tourist arrivals were up by 41% in the first seven months of the year, compared with the same period in 2023. Between January and July, 1.87m foreign tourists visited Peru, with Chile accounting for the greatest share of visitors (23.0%), followed by the US (19.2%), Ecuador (8.2%), Bolivia (5.8%), Brazil (5.7%), and Colombia (5.0%). By continent, 52.1% of tourist arrivals came from South America, 24.5% from North America, 16.1% from Europe, and 3.8% from Asia.
