*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has announced that 124,761 light vehicles were sold in the domestic market in July, up 12.6% on July 2023. In the first seven months of 2024, 833,411 light vehicles were sold in the domestic market, up 12.0% on the same period in 2023. According to the same report, 302,309 light vehicles were produced in July 2024, up 2.7% on the same month in 2023, while 2.3m light vehicles were produced in the first seven months of the year, up 4.90% on the same period in 2023. As regards exports, 271,469 light vehicles were exported in July 2024, down 1.6% from July 2023, with 1.99m exported in the January-July period, up 8.4% on the same period in 2023.
