HONDURAS: Gov’t faces criticism over prison construction
On 14 July Honduras’ foreign minister, Eduardo Enrique Reina, urged “diplomatic prudence” in response to comments made by Alice Shackelford, the United Nations (UN) representative in Honduras, regarding the construction of a new prison on Islas del Cisne (Swan Islands), a chain of three islands located in the north-western Caribbean Sea.
