EL SALVADOR: Transitional justice bill shelved

On 29 May El Salvador’s 60-member unicameral legislature voted to shelve a legislative bill on transitional justice and reparations for victims of the 1980-1992 civil war, which left 75,000 dead and 8,000 disappeared, mainly civilians.
