On 21 May Alfredo Pacheco, the president of the Dominican Republic’s 190-member chamber of deputies, and a member of President Luis Abinader’s Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), was cited by the media as saying the PRM was projecting to have won over 140 seats with its allies in the lower house in the 19 May election.
