*The lower chamber of Mexico’s congress has postponed discussion on a dictamen that would create a new pensions fund. The dictamen was approved by the congressional social security committee on 15 April and submitted to the plenary for a vote. However, the lower chamber has now returned the dictamen to the social security commission following interventions from opposition legislators. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador unveiled his proposed pension reform in February as part of a mega reform package.
