Cuba: The uncertain fate of the stranded Cuban migrants

Almost 1,000 irregular migrants (979) were returned to Cuba between 1 January and 17 February, according to the Cuban authorities. The majority of these, 680, were repatriated after the US ended its exceptional migration policy for Cubans on 12 January, which for half a century permitted automatic entry to all Cubans arriving on US soil.
