*** IMF EXPECTS ‘MODERATE GROWTH’ FOR ST LUCIA. An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission was in St Lucia in the second half of January for Article IV consultations. It reported that despite a weak tourist sector in 2016, unemployment continued to fall on the back of strong growth in agriculture and construction. Overall, growth was just 0.8% in 2016.
