Mexico: Fresh corruption allegations hit Veracruz gov’t

Development: On 24 May Mexican online media outlet Animal Político published an investigative report that found that the at least M$6454.7m (US$35m) had been siphoned from the Veracruz state government coffers by ‘ghost’ firms linked to incumbent governor, Javier Duarte.
