Honduras: Ruling party bats away corruption allegations

Development: On 26 May Deputy Óscar Álvarez of Honduras’s ruling Partido Nacional (PN) announced it was filing a complaint for slander against Salvador Nasralla, the leader of the opposition Partido Anticorrupción (PAC) after the latter accused the PN of using H$2bn (US$91m) from the national social security institute (IHSS) to finance the PN’s 2013 presidential election campaign.
