Key alliance struck in Bolivia ahead of Tarija run-off vote
Development: On 19 April Adrián Oliva, the candidate for the opposition Unidad Departamental Autonomista (UD-A) party in Bolivia’s gas-rich eastern department of Tarija, announced that he had forged an electoral alliance with Luis Alfaro, the defeated candidate for the also-opposition Tarija para Todos (TPT), ahead of the 3 May gubernatorial election run-off.
